We actually have to continue keeping these blogs? -_- ... *sigh* Fine.

Print Elective

Our project had been on 'Space' and how we personalize it. I eventually chose my book case. Heres the results:

Book Covers

Clutter
We were also given another, one day project: Clutter. Despite only being one day long, i really enjoyed this one more then our actual project.

Freak Show Video

It's finally here! The thing i have promised to reveal since the progress reviews! My Freak Show animation!

Updates

Just a short little note to say: 'The Ringmaster' and 'Shadow Puppet' posts have been updated. Go on all the way back if you want to see the new pictures.

Almost Forgot...

Here a few little extras that have a little something to do with my project. At a point, i got caught up in Gothic Literature, and so, the prints inspired by Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde came to be.

Also, i good while back, i made this little piece one day that i was out sick. After curling up and watching nearly all of 'The Walking Dead' (again, i got inspired b the zombies!

Urban Legends

Lesson of this piece : Mounting board is not easy to cut into. Also, curved shapes are out of the question.

This whole thing is based on Victorian urban legends, and the old 'Penny Dreadful' they published such things in. The legends included in my piece are 'The Great Thunderstorm', 'Spring-Heeled Jack' and 'The Devil's Foot Prints'.

Leather and Light

Working with something other than card was a nice change. Keeping with the horror them the fabric of choice?? it had to be leather. I mean... there's not all that many monsters that go around in denim is there? *waits for a picture to be posted to be proven wrong* o.o;;;.

Anyway! Using the patterns from my Shadow minion monster things, i cut it out in a sheet of leather. And then...for a long time blank. I had no idea what to do. The solution? Simple, but i like to think effective.put it up against a frosted glass panel and turn on the lights.

Darlind Doll //The Real Edition//

Is there a possible way to mix art, a friend and rather dull morning? As my beautiful guinea-pig... I mean assistant, Shauna and I found out, it is quite possible! Interesting results followed.

Um, the idea came pretty much from seeing a pile of masking tape and linking it with my original Darling Doll character. Cosplay anyone??

I would like to mention it was after out first shoot that gave us some incredible shots.. i came down with a case of 'the idiot' and deleted EVERYTHING. We did a second re-shoot, after re-wrapping poor Shaw back up once more. With our enthusiasm damped a little, i don't feel our results were as awesome as they had been the first time around. And i apologize again to poor Shauna for nearly cutting off all circulation to her hands!

Personally, i love these moving ones best. Especially the white ones that are a little hard to make out.

The Ringmaster

Personally, though her role is practically nothing in the upcoming video clip,Ringmaster is far and away my favorite character i created.

It is the idea behind her character i think, that makes me like her so much. Something crazy and charismatic... and something just a little dark behind it all too.

Finally....

Between finishing off sketchbooks and notebooks, Christmas time and beings sick, i have finally returned to my blog. These were the main cause of delays to it.

I am thankful though, that my blog was fairly up to date. Nothing sucks worse when you stupidly and accidentally delete EVERY PHOTO YOU HAD TAKEN. That too was rather off putting. However, i was lucky i had most of what was on it, up here anyway. Phew!

Now, onto updating!
